Jacob Jensen possessed something few brands can manufacture: an authentic design legacy.
The challenge was not how to preserve it. It was how to make it capable of producing something new.
01 / A LEGACY NEEDED TO MOVE AGAIN
A recognisable
design language.
Reduction. Precision. Contrast. Graphic clarity. Rationality. Technology made understandable. Objects considered in relationship to their surroundings.
The inheritance was not simply a collection of famous forms, but a particular way of making complexity clear.
Repeating an aesthetic is not the same as continuing an idea.
02 / WE LOOKED BENEATH THE EXPRESSION

The work began by separating the enduring idea from the familiar expressions it had once produced.
The task was not to preserve the expressions of the past, but to make the philosophy productive again: distinctive enough to be noticed, yet natural enough to belong.
03 / PRINCIPLES BECAME CONDITIONS
A point of view is not
a transformation.
A brand promise only matters if the organisation can produce it.
Creative Refinement and distinction became shared criteria across consumer understanding, portfolio, design, decision rights, partnerships, commercial choices, markets and experience.
The same criteria shaped what was made, what was not made, who it was made with, where it belonged and how it reached the market.
04 / MAKING THE CHANGE TANGIBLE
One direction.
Many expressions.
The renewed principles became visible in products, packaging, displays and communication. Aekvator was one proof of the system: recognisably connected to the heritage without reproducing a familiar historic form.
That coherence mattered commercially as well as creatively. It gave teams and partners a shared basis for choosing what belonged, what did not and how new work could extend the brand.
05 / THE FUTURE BECAME OPEN AGAIN
